“The chief beauty about time is that you cannot waste it in advance. The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you, as perfect, as unspoiled, as if you had never wasted or misapplied a single moment in all your life. You can turn over a new leaf every hour if you choose.” ― Arnold Bennett

Grasmere-Revisiting the Lake District
At one point in time we had considered going up to Fort William in Scotland and riding the train there on Thursday, the day before heading back to London. At some point in time that plan could nixed and instead we wound up revisiting the Lake District on Thursday. So we headed over to the Lake District and drove around for a bit, eventually coming across Grasmere. It is a charming little village and we walked around it for quite awhile. We bought gingerbread from Grasmere Gingerbread, which is claimed to be the best gingerbread in the world. It was a lovely day, both the weather and just touring around without any set plans. We also went back to Aunty Val's tearooms for more scones and clotted cream.
